Constant Management

Description, Purpose and Objective

NOTE

The Constant Management (or Enums) view is the platform's technical module designed to manage the lists of predefined values that feed the drop-down menus and static parameters of the entire system (such as currency types, billing frequencies, identification types or statuses).

A Constant (or Enumerator) is a predefined and static data value within the system. It consists of a Value (the main data, such as USD) and, optionally, a Complement (complementary information associated with the value, such as the symbol $$ or a translation).

The goal of this view is to allow super administrators to add and update these master lists in real time without requiring changes at the code or database level.

Context of Use

This module is used by Product Managers and Super Managers to:

• Update currencies and currencies: Enable new types of currencies in the system for membership payments (e.g. enter the currency EUR with its symbol € in the currencies list).
• Add payment frequencies: Add operating frequencies for contracts or payroll (e.g. add Semi-annual to the frequencies list).
• Parameterize dynamic lists: Configure types of identification documents or geographic states enabled for user registration.

Possible Actions

1. View and List Constants by Category

Allows administrators to list all registered enumerators under a specific list:

1. Select the required constant category from the Menu/Constant List drop-down menu (for example, currencies or frequencies).
2. The system will immediately list all registered values ​​on the screen, showing their code, name and associated plugins.

2. Add a New Constant

To add a new value to one of the master lists:

1. Select the destination list from the Menu/Constant List drop-down field.
2. Fill out the required fields:
   • New Element (Value): Enter the primary key or value of the constant (e.g. USD or Weekly).
   • Complement or subitem (Optional): Enter the additional information required depending on the type of list (e.g. the symbol $$ for the currency or a translation code).
3. Click the "Add" button to save the new item to the list. It will be reflected immediately in all the forms in the system that consume that enumerator.

3. Delete a Constant

To remove an item from the list:

1. Locate the item and click the delete action (trash icon 🗑️ or remove button).
2. Confirm the action in the pop-up window.

CAUTION

Do not delete constants that are being used in historical records (such as membership transactions, user profiles or active processes), as this would cause system loading failures when trying to recover the deleted value.

Required Technical Permits

Access to this panel requires that the user's role has the following privileges:

• enums_read: Grants access to view, list selection, and reading constants.
• enums_update or enums_create: Allows the addition of new elements and plugins to constant lists.
• enums_delete: Allows you to delete elements from the system constant lists.
